This tea is from Ai Lao mountain, at an altitude over 2200 meters high. The trees themselves are between 100 and 200 years old, growing mostly unattended. Hongcha, which translates to red tea, which is what china and most of the rest of the world calls what we think of as black tea.
The aroma of this tea is truly tasty. It has an immediate vibrant taste with a crisp finish and plenty of character to last through several rounds of infusing.
